苦瓜凋萎病在田間發生嚴重，困難防治，作者多年來研究苦瓜嫁接絲瓜砧的防治方法，先後克服嫁接苦瓜苗期病害，包括苗枯病、日燒症和立枯病，以及成株期的漏脂症，終於發明三田苦瓜在田間成功的防治苦瓜凋萎病。本片介紹絲瓜與苦瓜各種嫁接及其病害管理方法，並且詳述研究過程與大家分享。
Farmers have always been troubled by the wilting of bitter melons caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. Momordicae, because the fungus is extremely difficult to prevent. The author of this video has researched melon grafting for many years, developing a process of connecting the root of the bitter melon to that of a loofah. This prevents several possible diseases during the growing stage, including seedling blight, fruit sunburn and sheath blight, as well as the possible leaking of plant fat during the maturing period. Finally, the development of the “sanpin” variety of bitter melon has successfully overcome the problem of wilting.
